¡Bárbara!=)
I can't imagine a better Spanish tutor than Graciana. I attended several classes and interviewed a couple of different teachers but knew almost immediately that she would be the most effective and pleasant teacher out there. I felt that she was personally vested in my success and went out of her way to make sure that I not only learned the language but also enjoyed the process at the same time.

An excellent teacher
Graciana always arrived at class very prepared with ample teaching materials. Whenever I expressed a desire to study something specific, she came equipped to the next class with the perfect lesson plan for that topic. She explained everything very thoroughly and clearly and was more than willing to research any questions that remained at the end of class. Her love for and curiosity about languages is always evident in her classes. I would highly recommend her as a teacher.
Jamie Grisham, USA Serious, efficient and inspiring
Being at the first stages of learning is frustrating and hard, but to have a teacher with enormous patience, insight of how different students meet different obstacles and readiness to adjust teaching methods and study plan accordingly, makes all the difference. After trying the UBA and different private teachers, I felt a whole new level of comfort when starting taking lessons with Graciana. Highly skilled, obviously and contagiously enchanted by her language (a poet makes the best language teacher), super supportive and, not the least, always charming and a good friend, I couldn't give a higher recommendation to anyone seeking language inspiration in Buenos Aires.

Very Organised and Structured
Graciana was my private tutor for x3 one hour sessions per week over a period of approximately 3 months. I found Graciana to be excellent - very organised and somebody who delivers well structured (and tailor made) lessons.
I think that a common problem with a lot of tutors is that their English may be weak, with the result that there is a communication / comprehension fall-off between tutor and student. However, Graciana has a first class grasp of both oral and written English - possibly as good as or better than a lot of native English speakers. For me, this was hugely significant and very useful - it makes reading and understanding class notes much easier.

Highly recommended
I believe I have benefitted more from this Spanish course that any other I have taken.
One to one instruction works best for me, I now realize, because it allows total freedom: I can learn without getting embarrased. The materials always had a connection to real life which brought them from abstraction to a place where I could actually understand them and hold on to them. Graciana was absolutely wonderful. She embodies all the qualities of patience that a teacher should. She is quiet when I need to talk, she explains what needs explanation.

Amazing!
I was immensely fortunate to study Spanish with Graciana Mendez. She is simply the best private teacher I could ever imagine. She is professional, committed, flexible, and intelligent. She takes her teaching very seriously and gives her lessons an incredible amount of thought. I studied with her two hours a day and learned more than I could ever have imagined. I couldn't recommend her more highly.

Motivated, interesting and flexible
I am very satisfied. being able to talk is very important for me and in the private class I could learn intensively and at my pace. Now I know the important basics and grammar and I can continue learning by talking. Well structured material (I will keep all the grammar explanations).
The idea to combine indoor and outdoor classes is very good. So I could learn the basics and at the same time get to know the city and the cultural and historical background a bit. Graciana was very motivated, interested and flexible.

When I started the week, I hoped that I would improve my Spanish so that I was approaching a conversational ability - but I really did not expect to make much progress. I was surprised, and very pleased, to make much more progress than I expected, so that I was definitely able to speak better, and to have very basic conversations.

Overall excellent
The classes were well organized and focused. I really appreciated these qualities. The activities were well balanced and a good variety. Graciana is a great teacher. She is flexible, organized, creative and responsive. She is super patient-of course! The words that come to my mind are quality and personalized. Also, thanks for mailing arrangement before arriving for a place to stay. Gracias por todo!

Graciana was my private teacher for 2+ years. She also teaches a number of intensive courses for long and short term travelers. I would highly recommend her, as I learned a lot (and she has a degree in this field from UBA).
